  • Well, have you ever had one of those moments that you think, "Dangit, I wish I had never done that!!!!" and is is like 10 years after you did that.

Well combine that with Big Brother(1984), and you get Uncle Sam saying to you, "Just a minute their, you can't buy that just yet."

So almost 10 years ago, I was going though a mid-life crises, feeling sorry for my self, and wishing I had something that I couldn't afford.

By the way that leaves me with eight more years, I had always longed to have a computer, a nice laptop, their is so much you can do with a laptop, yes they had those back then, it was only ten years ago.

I wanted a top of the line, zip, zap, zoom, network card and everything.  Well I found one and barrowed it without asking, and without any intent of returning it.  Well me being the "goody two shoes" that I am, felt a little guilty, (My Mom caught me with it and asked where I got it, well you can't lie to Mom.)  So I took it back to my teacher, and told him I took it and was sorry, if he could keep it on the down low so my sister wouldn't catch any flack from it.

Well all went fine and dandy, the cops didn't even show up asking me about it, no insurance company calling and telling me I had to pay for any fees or restitution or anything(the teacher told my sister that the laptop never worked better then when he got it back from me, and wanted me to come back and work on it).  So I thought that that was it.

Monday I go to pick up my gun and fill out the "yellow sheet" which is what a dealer has to have filled out so he can do a criminal background check on you.  He calls it in and they say I was denighed.  Meaning I couldn't buy the gun, and then asked the dealer for my address.

I get home call the PoPo and ask why I couldn't own a gun, they say I have an "open larceny over $3000.00" investigation.  So what do I do now.

Well get them to close the case and ***poof***, I can own a gun.  Dosen't sound to hard does it, well I will let you know what happens.

For Shroom, I plan on mostly shooting targets with it, but come live or die, if I can aim, I have a better chance on living.

I do hunt, and am looking into getting into big game, ie; deer, elk, bear, etc.  If any of you think hunting is bad, which I don't, just remember if you eat it, it dosen't go to waste.

  •    Dude, it's frickin' gun week! Hahah... two of my friends(who are also friends with each other) in NC bought guns(an AK-47 and... something else, I forget) this week, neither of them knowing about the other(they met and found out about each other's purchase at a local gun show, both of them buying ammo, hahah). Crazy.
Here's hoping the whole yellow sheet business works out for ya.

  • cool story. Sorry about the run around. I'm glad to hear you are getting that straightened out. Good to hear you are getting a gun too. That's awesome. I own two, but honestly, I don't use them enough to justify using them. But I like hunting, so go for it!

  • Well I have always just used Dad's or Mom's, this is just the first of my own that I will be getting.
