  • So I wanted to let you guys know something that I think is very personal, and because I think it is personal it would be something that I wouldn’t normally write about on here.  That is why you have yet to hear word of it.  But me being the guy who I am, am also proud of some of my personal stuff and like anyone who is proud about something would like to brag about it.  So because it is personal, and I am prideful I had to take the time to think and ponder and weigh my options.  So I have decided to talk about what is personnel, and try not to be too prideful while doing it.

To start off with I want all of you to know that there is a time and place for everything, and even though I may be a “man of stature”, and a little on the weird side, and you may be thinking in a few minutes “How could this big weirdo be doing something that I am not, that just isn’t fair, and I don’t like it one bit.”  Keep in mind what I just said and that is that there is time and place for everything, and right now my time and place has happened or will happen in a couple weeks, yours is yet to come, and for a few has already happened.

So you are wondering what is going on, well I have decided to “POP the question”  you know the one, the “M” word, no not that one, but the other one.

Yes on that day of blossoming love, or broking hearts I will ask a special someone to marry me.  February 14th, this day is the day that there are more broken hearts in the world then any other day of the year, and I hope to be on the other side.  I plan on asking the question on the 13th (my lucky number by the way), and wait for the response on the 14th.

I know what you are thinking right now, what if that girl reads your site, well as I said at the beginning some things are personal, and to me this site is one of them, and as far as I know the knowledge of it has not been endowed to my girl.

I may yet change my mind, not about asking but about the “how” of asking.  So I am looking for other ideas, your or others, of how to propose, or of how this all works etc.

I hope to soon let you see a copy of one of my love letters.  I'll try to get it up next week.

  • Wow, congrats Casey.  That's awesome.  No ideas yet, but I'll think and get back to you on that one.

  • you should do something that incorporates things she loves, and go as over the top as you can. hehe. like, if she loves to climb mountains, but you don't, climb one with her and propose at the top, or...if she loves a certain restaurant that's too expensive...i don't know. neither of those are really good examples. one guy i know's (now) wife loved white christmas lights, so he went out before and used a bzillion of them on a tree and this little bridge and then he took her out there.
and why don't you ever talk about this girl? why didn't we even know? wow. congrats.

  • Well well well, I bet she's not in colorado, otherwise our theory (one of many) about Colorado women would be busted wide open. Make sure you always giver her your coat when she is cold, and always open doors. For more advice about romantic stuff just call me, I am currently contulting many friends on how to be romantic and stuff.

  • Casey!!

I had no idea that you were even interested in anyone, let one seeing someone and serious enough to "pop the question!" Holy cow!
